Each contact lens eye examination will be customized depending on the age group, medical/visual history, and issues of concern for the patient. 1. Hi-technology Pre-Testing
• auto-refraction (refractive error estimate)
• auto-keratometry (cornea curvature)
• non-contact tonometry (glaucoma)
• pachymetry (cornea thickness)
• tear osmolarity testing with TearLab

2. Visual Acuities (VA)
• distance and near VA - corrected and uncorrected – through contact lenses
3. Subjective Refraction
• contact lens prescription for distance and near

 

4. Slit lamp biomicroscopy with Fluorescein (yellow medical dye)
• microscopic examination of anterior ocular structures – cornea, conjunctiva and lids – to identify any adverse effects of contact lens wear
• TBUT – tear break-up time - a method of determining the stability of the tear film and checking for evaporative dry eye

5. Patient Counselling
• discuss examination results with and provide a strategic plan of action with a medical recommendation with

How long does it take to get my contact lenses?
Most common contact lens orders take 3 to 5 business days to arrive, but custom orders and complex prescriptions can take up to 3 weeks.
Can my contact lenses be shipped by courier to my home or office?
Absolutely. Our clinics have shipped contact lenses world-wide and use all the major couriers – FedEx, Purolator, etc. - to get your contact lenses to you as quickly as possible. Shipping charges are extra.
Can I pay for my contact lenses over the telephone or email with my credit card?
Yes. Please call with your VISA or MasterCard in hand and one of our associates will be ready to assist and facilitate your payment.
What if I wanted to try a new type or brand of contact lens?
Our eye doctors are leaders in recommending the latest contact lens technologies and offer our patients the opportunity to sample the newest lenses when medically appropriate. On your next visit, please ask your eye doctor for more information.
