Dr. Dan Quaglietta
Dr. Quaglietta received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2011, graduating with high distinction. He completed a clerkship in ocular disease at OMNI Eye Care in Atlanta, Georgia, and a clerkship in pediatrics and vision therapy in Brampton, Ontario. His current interests lie in the study of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye therapy, and in children requiring vision therapy for binocular vision problems. Dr. Quaglietta is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Prior to his optometric training, he completed his Honors Bachelors of Science at the University of Toronto studying Human Biology and Physiology, with special interests in infant physiology and development. He later went on to complete a Masters in Science at the University of Toronto investigating the differences between male and female energy metabolism. His work was presented at several national and international conferences and published in high ranking academic journals. He received the Richard Rowe Research Award and the Lorne Phenix Award for this work.
Dr. Quaglietta is an active volunteer in the community and received the Gordon Cressy Leadership award for his work by the University of Toronto.
